It's spelled with an I
Mauretania (/ˌmɒrɪˈteɪniə, ˌmɔːrɪ-/)[3][4] is the Latin name for an area in the ancient Maghreb. It stretched from central present-day Algeria westwards to the Atlantic, covering northern Morocco, and southward to the Atlas Mountains.[5] Its native inhabitants, seminomadic pastoralists of Berber ancestral stock, were known to the Romans as the Mauri and the Masaesyli.[6]
Oh so not the country but the region, got it

That's a different country and not correct with the letters provided. " the Berber kingdom of Mauretania under king Baga.[25] This ancient kingdom (not to be confused with the present state of Mauritania) dates at least to around 225 BC."
