Per request here's an update.
The idol search makes me want to die. I keep going down unsuccessful rabbit holes, but they feel so right. The clues I have from Gabby are
Clue #1 To find safety you must understand your people They have a rich and expansive culture Don’t hesitate for safety, you’ll want to dig in Or else immunity someone else may vulture
Clue #2 Hopefully you’ve begun digging in, Eat everything in North Africa I’d advise Take a bite out of some savory dishes, some cross-cultural And you may sink your teeth into your prize
The first clue led me to a website by a Moroccan art group called The culture vultures. A line in their bio says rich and fascinating history which makes me think I'm in the right place. I've tried using the name of the group and their museum but no luck. They own properties you can stay at which all have names and I plan on trying those next. Stuck here for now.
Clue 2 has me entering hundreds of words. North Africa has what's called Maghreb cuisine. It's a cuisine based on the mixing of Arab and Mediterranean culture. I've tried every food I can find from tajine to sardines. I was so excited because there's a dish called El reghaif that is described as a savoury pancake. Something you can sink your teeth into and is savoury. I thought it was perfect but I guess not. After work today I'll put on some montage music and enter hundreds of African dishes in to see if anything sticks.
So yeah. This sucks, but I want that idol.
