R oh double B,

Congratulations on surviving another tribal council icon_blush ! The game is really starting to pick up as we lost 3 players just today! But you still out here though. Let's see what's on your mind tonight...

1. It seemed like you had a solid plan for the next tribal council. Do you think those plans will change or have they already?

2. What clues have you gotten to the hidden immunity idol's location? How hard are you going for that idol? Do you think you're on the right track?

3. Did the putting people on blast punishment tell you anything about your castmates that might affect your game going forward?

4. It might be time to start thinking about future changes in the game. What are your plans as of now for approaching a merged game or other tribal twists you might encounter?

5. Who are your enemies and closest allies on this tribe? why?

YOU are this rounds Taureg! What are your plans with this special power and what do you make of the idol clue so far? Have you gotten any useful information from the other Tauregs?

1. Hmm, I'm not even sure what plan I had anymore, lol. I was kinda expecting that Shii Ann was still going to be an option to vote off, so initially that was my go-to. Then Tanya fucked up and potentially endangered my position in the tribe, so I was going for her first. I expected Shii Ann to be replaced, not just removed, so my plan for our second future TC would have been voting off one of Shii Ann or Clay, to not make waves against Stephanie too soon.

At this point though, I have no idea. I honestly hope we don't lose tomorrow, because then it's either gonna be another unanimous vote against Clay, after which all hell will break loose with just 4 of us left, or everybody's gonna start thinking ahead and scramble too much. That could be dangerous for me. Ideally, I'd want to get rid of Stephanie next - I want to keep Clay over her 100%, but it's a matter of doing it in a way that doesn't shine a bad light on me. So I hope we have more time before our next tribal council, i.e. we win the upcoming immunity, so that I can get a better grasp on how close each of Ghandia and Jed are to Stephanie - right now, I'm too afraid to propose betraying Stephanie. I need some more time to build trust.

2. Hmmm, what idol? icon_blink
I had an idea that the clues might be the same for all tribes, so I mainly wanted to reach out to Gabby and Angela to help each other crack down the password. The clues I got seemed reaaaally vague at first, the first one especially was virtually useless by itself. So when Gabby told me her clues were different, I got really excited thinking I'd have 6 clues instead of 2 to look for the Ahmar idol. Turns out the clues are completely different, but at least if I'm ever on a different beach, I have those clues in case their idols are still out there.

I made a questionable decision in telling ALL of my tribemates the clues, word-for-word, so I had to go hard. But to be fair, I only started googling stuff after I was done talking to Gabby & Angela, so it took me 30-ish minutes? Obviously, 'Berber' was the biggest keyword, so I first tried googling "first known Bergers", but later realised that 'conquest' and 'battle' were clearly hinting at wars. What do you know, googling "Berber conquest" actually landed me on the wikipedia page, so after trying variations of the war's name, I ended up on Tariq ibn Ziyad's page, tracing that man's footsteps. ;)

What I have now, is a tribe that knows all about the clues, and they got the information without much delay, but they will never be able to figure it out - there is nothing to figure out anymore. So I'll keep asking them how the search is going, keep adding my ideas to the conversations, and hopefully they won't suspect I've already found it. The only worry would be Clay telling someone that he has the clues - that could paint me as untrustworthy. He's not gonna do it to Ghandia or Steph though, he thinks the girls don't like him and he's connected to me and Jed the most. So if Jed finds out and gets mad about it, I'll just convince him that we need to work with Clay and get Ghandia out. Or tell him that I have the idol anyway - that's the worst case scenario, though.

3. Well, that punishment seemed really useless, lol. I'm not mad that it's here, it was just a bit unexpected considering how impactful the first punishment was. But I'm actually guessing that Stephanie made that comment about Clay, which he didn't like, and so that helps me have Clay on my side - it's part of the reason why I shared my clues with him in the first place, I need him to trust me even more.

4. Naah, merge is far away. I have no idea regarding swaps though - tomorrow seems unlikely, but there could be a swap after the next vote-off, followed by another one later on, or we might just keep going with the same 3 tribes for 3 more challenges. The potential of a swap is what makes me wanna stay on good terms with everybody, so that I have a default alliance in case of a swap.

5. Well, Steph is not an enemy, I think we can work together perfectly fine short-term, but she's not someone I want to depend on at the merge. Hell, she might even turn on me if we swap together as a minority. But besides her, I would love to keep working with everybody for some time. Jed is awesome to talk to, but he's either playing dumb (and doing it really really well), or he's not that good at this game. Like, he sucked at today's challenge, and he admitted that he was bad at puzzles before the first IC. So that is someone I'd wanna take all the way - he's probably not gonna be a challenge threat, and I think I can charm him to stay loyal by just... being loyal to him. Ghandia is amazing, definitely my favorite person on the tribe, but I think she's too charming. I want her as an ally, but I don't know if that's so beneficial anymore. I feel like she's working everybody, playing the social butterfly, and maybe even downplaying her challenge performances. So she will be dangerous later down the road. Clay is lovably clueless, and he seems easy to sway, so I could definitely use him as a long-term ally. That's why I need him to stay over Stephanie, who just seems like a mystery to me - she could either be 100% loyal to me right now, or already planning my demise behind the scenes.

Not a lot of useful info from Gabby/Angela so far, tbh. I connected to both of them a bit (Gabby seems really fun(ny) and like the Ghandia of Fenassa), but I did more of the talking. I hope they reach out to me again, I wanna make ties in case there's a swap (damn, I'm thinking even more that a swap may be coming soon, lol).

Btw I'm very glad that posts in confessionals don't increase post counts anymore, in case somebody else was looking at those as well. icon_wub

Can you give us a rundown on your new tribe? Are you planning on staying strong with your old allies, or do you think it's time to start from scratch? How is the nomad twist going to shape your strategy moving forward?

That was.... unexpected.
I considered the swap being on day 6 for a second, but then thought "naah, there are 17 of us, we'll probably swap at 16 to 2 tribes or to 3 tribes with 1 person going to exile".

The perfect scenario would have been me, Clay, Jed and Ghandia swapping together. Or just me, Jed and Ghandia, but I'll take having 3 of us even if that includes Stephanie. It would be dumb not to stay together for now, because we have no idea how tight the other tribes will be, and if we split up, we could easily get picked off. Of course we will all be making new connections now, but you gotta assume people will stay with their old tribemates for the first vote - there's no reason to trust them saying they wanna split up just based on a stray sentence or two.

Jed and I are finally able to talk fully about anyone and anything. He even suggested a final 2 deal, to which I truthfully agreed, but I'm only committing like 90%. There's a lot of game left to play (obviously, lol), and I will not hesitate to get rid of him late-merge if I start thinking he has a better shot at the win than me. It's amazing to have someone like him though, our strategy talks yesterday are what I want to be able to have with my closest allies - discussing different options without fear of them snitching on you.

Pat seems pretty cool, I was surprised to know he was only 15 (though he gave 18ish vibes), but I think that makes him less threatening. I think I'll be able to bond with him, so I will keep doing that to draw him into our alliance. He's in a very advantageous position for me - came into the game late, so doesn't have strong bonds with his old tribe, and only has one person from old Fenassa with him here. He needs allies, and I need him.

Davie wasn't here for long. He's too mysterious right now, I don't even know what I think of him. Gabby warned me that Davie "isn't very honest, but like understandable", and I can see that. He gave some reasonable answers, yet he's pretty brief, and hasn't really said anything of substance. Though he was probably busy irl yesterday, and might just be feeling that there's nothing to discuss for the upcoming easy Brendan vote.

Brendan fell asleep right after the swap and hasn't emerged since.

The rest make me feel...

I mean, even after the swap, Stephanie continues not talking to me AT ALL. Like wtf. Sure, we had a brief convo together with Jed, but I got nothing from her personally, and she disappeared quite quickly after the challenge. She's either not thinking ahead, or already 3 steps ahead of me, so that's scary.

I was really glad to see Angela. We got to talk the day before with both of us being Tuaregs, and that connection might still prove very important. What I don't know though, is how close she is to Chelsea. Sure, Chelsea told me they don't talk much strategy, but Chelsea also said she's a new fan, who found the show in October, yet she's digging through r/survivor quite a bit, and watched Ghost Island (one of her first seasons, apparently) so in-depth that she appreciates Chelsea's game. No, that doesn't add up at all. There were a couple other red flags that Jed and I discussed, so I'm pretty sure she's lying a lot. Definitely not to be too trusted, and someone to dispose of pre-merge. I really enjoy talking to her, but she seems like a risk to have around moving forward.

But back to Angela. I got a mix of Tanya/Clay vibes from her, only with the positives of Tanya, and the slight negatives of Clay - which is pretty good. She might be downplaying how active strategically she's been, and for all I know Chelsea and her could be the tightest duo out there, but right now I trust her... mostly. The worst thing is that she could have an idol, and hell, maybe her and Chelsea even found the Fenassa idol (but I think Gabby has it), so that's my paranoia. I've gotta try to get some more scoop on old Jellal from her.

Everybody seems set on Brendan going first, but I have a lot of concerns about Chelsea/Angela pulling in Steph if Kellyn joins our tribe. I even considered flipping the vote on Chelsea, but it's probably too early. Chelsea will probably be a lot more useful in challenges, and showing her some loyalty now might provide me with more information on Jellal bonds. Brendan is just a liability. Non-threatening, but probably the right option for tonight. Unless he shows up and tells me some crazy things, it's him tonight.

Nomad twist is weird, I'm 100% glad it wasn't me. Would be cool to get a chance to talk to Gabby/Ghandia/Clay again to see how they're doing, but it seems more risk than reward. Jed and I are already wary of Kellyn and I think she has generally worsened her position in the game this round.
